Jim,

Thank you for your comments. I’m willing to bet if we sat down over a glass of brandy, we’d find lots of common ground to talk about. I do consider myself a conservative. I’m starting to think I’m somewhat libertarian though and I’m definitely not a neo-con like the Bush/Cheney crowd. I like to think of myself as a normal American, whatever that is.

Please accept my condolences regarding your father. You made me stop and think about my father once again and how lucky I was to know him. Judging from your comments, you appear to feel the same way.

It’s friday again and I think tonight I’ll tip a glass to both of our fathers.

I stumbled upon this article while looking up “St. Remy Napoleon Brandy”. It really touched me. While I am a liberal instead of a conservative, I could very much relate to how much you miss your dad. I lost my father over 9 years ago, and I still think about him daily. I, too, miss the advise he gave me, and like your father, he seemed to give good advise no matter what the subject. A tip of the brandy glass to two fathers that are deeply missed.
